Brief: Manchester City council wanted to create a new Manchester Day Parade website celebrating all that is Mancunian. The site needed to be fully editable and graphics easily refreshed year on year, as the event theme changes.

The site needed to work on smartphones and be bold and vibrant, allowing them to add video and news content easily, linking to social media.

Solution: We worked closely with the in-house team to design a CMS site that would fulfill all their desired specification. That incorporated the current years graphical theme and that could be full edited by the internal web team.

We presented various ideas and the final design embraced the porthole theme by having a bright blue sky and illustrated Manchester skyline as the website footer.

Manchester Day Parade 2010 was a huge success and we are already working with Manchester City Council on developing next years theme.
